It had taken more than 15,000 hours of work in 1 year for the map to be built. Afterwards, AlphaCraft (which was renamed as the Esterlon Community) had moved on to making more bigger and realistic cities, such as Huntington City, and the Lapiz Point map had become available for download on Planet Minecraft.
The map features a central theme, which combined all the above-mentioned cities and towns. This means that the map has a pirate theme, such as a pirate ship, as well as a recreation of the downtown city of Anor Londo (where the player battles to reach Twilight Grove). It also has a Hub area. Other features included are a pirate village, a more general village that covers all of the island, and a small water area made into a lake/moat. The map features several custom sound effects and music for all the area's characters, and can be used in a game of Mega Man, too.
Beta 2.0 is probably the most used version of the map. The reason why it is so powerful is because of how many powerful tools are in it. This version introduced boats, and was fully functional up until version 1.0. The map also features a second windmill and a floor that can be replaced with another custom floor. It also added horses, which can be ridden and can even be ridden by a player while they are riding on a horse.
There are quite many features added in beta 2.0, including more powerful town tools, which include a smelting/mining station and a soda factory, a bigger temple with a moat, and much more. Other features that are newly added are the traditional ground breaking blocks and functionality that are needed to build the giant slime, the teeth and the bones. However, these items were considered to be rather unpractical. The scoreboard was also added to the map, which makes the game easier to play.
Tileset detection is enabled on this map (Currently the 1.9 Tileset Detection). This simulates the way that blocks are different on different platforms. For example, wooden blocks are different on Windows than Linux. 7211a4ac4a
